Creating a twisted ribbon

I need to create a logo that consists of a ribbon twisted into the shape of an “S”. I am not entirely sure how to go about this. I was thinking I should use NURBS, but I couldn’t get it to look good. Any suggestions?

Just use a BevOB: curve as a flat line on an S shapes curve.

Thanks for relplying. I know how to get the straight S shape using BevOB, but what I am having problems with is twisting the “ribbon”. I dont know if you understand what I mean, but I need the ribbon to twist and it goes through the S shape. Any ideas?

Believe this or don’t, but there’s actually a hotkey for twisting as well. Select a CV on your base curve (the one with the BevOb set) and hit T-KEY. Move your mouse around to twist/turn that point. It’s easier to see the effect if you activate ‘3D’ for the curve (in edit buttons).
