creating sets

I was wondering if anybody knew of some good tutorials or books on this. I think this will help me a lot because… I end up trying to build a complete scene then I have camera shot issues and then I heard about previous where I guess it shows you different camera angles and lenses and what each on is used for(landscape, intro, upclose etc shot).

but creating a landscape for a intro shot and animation camera is what I am starting first so any info would be appreciated.

Not sure if I understand the question, but if you’re wanting to reuse things you’ve already created in later projects, you can link or append almost anything from another file, whether it be an object, group, material, or even a scene.

I meant like landscape for a intro scene.

As gradyp said, you can link or append from any blend file to any other. So for instance, you have your landscape in one file and it consists of the ground plane, trees, houses, etc. You saved those in one file, so now you open a new file, go into the 3D View header menu under File and select Link or Append (depending on whether you want to link to the original or append a new copy of it), and then go through the directories until you find the original file, open it, go to the Objects directory, and select the objects that make up your scene. If you want to bring in the materials and actions, select them from the appropriate directories as well. It’s pretty simple, really.

If you have one scene setting that you want to reuse over and over, then just save it to its own file, then use a copy of that file each time you need it and save the file to a new name.
