what you guys dont realize is that all you see in the screenshots is just the graphics and modelling that i have done, take that, multiply that by 100 and youll then see what lies beneath the “splendor” of crescentdawn, you will see the complex and genius python coding saluk has done and is doing.

well, what if saluk posted screenshots of his code, err… we “non-programmers” (AKA lazy people) would all be like :-? … on the other hand he posts :o images… so… we all :o !

Hehehe, nonetheless, I love all the things he’s told us about “Big World” (or something like that)… i think that was the core of the game here at hand… :slight_smile: … it seems like some work of art in terms of coding!

Anyways, feel proud saluk and all of you guys working on the game, kan’t wait to play it :smiley: :smiley: !

Yes, I’m very proud of bigworld, as I haven’t needed to touch it since I finished it. Although there are some features lately I have wanted to include, but the problem with it is every time I DO modify it I end up breaking it. But so far it works.

But you’re right, I can’t really post screens of code, so we work with what we have (which are some very good environments) until we have more:)

I put up 4 more shots, check it out. And no, just because we are showing more of the game, doesn’t mean the demo is near:)

are you going to keep those menu graphics? and the blue box interface too? not sure if theyre wip or not but i think they could use alot of sprucing, esp. the interface(speaking in terms of my own preference) =)

It looks better in motion. I don’t believe in flashy interface, cause the interface is supposed to kind of be invisible. Maybe some more rounded edges in places, and the menu screen doesn’t have a background yet, but for the most part we’re keeping it.

So many cool, awsome looking Blender games coming out :o

screens look great, polycount looks high(in a good way), i hope your bigworld culling works well so i can play it

fear not, the polycount is only SO high because we use Level of Detail. Also bigworld is a very primitive use of culling. I think it may run well. not sure though :wink:

Looking good! I like the tall grass and trees and such. I too don’t like the interface much, i just don’t think the blue blends in too much with the rest, it looks out of place. Maybe make it transparent and give it a texture or something. Just a suggestion.

No offense meant, but you could do with a little modesty. Crescent Dawn is great, we all know, you don’t have to brag and hype it that much. It’s a great looking game, and it may very much be the greatest blender game made.

Yeah, just ignore doogs when he goes into super “IMA DA BEST” mode lol. He can get a little out of hand.

Our game will be great, but so will other games. And theres a long way to go before its actually fun to play.

hey genius, pooba, note i quoted “splendor” of my screenshots. I don’t think im doing a good job. I was saying that saluk is doing the best work and the work you see is just crap i made. So before you get on YOUR OWN high horse and try to spur me out, BRING IT ON.

The screenshots keep looking better and better!!
The menu’s do look a bit “shabby” though, everything else looks great so far!
