Wow you jsut sparked my interest in WWII airplanes back up. I always liked their style better than modern planes.
It may just be the angle but the fuselage running back to the vert. stab. appears to be too long.
The cockpit, back then, on American, British, and German planes typically ran back into the fuselage. I’m not sure you will understand what I said cause it’s not very clear, so here’s a pic of the P51 Mustang.
Look at the back of the cockpit and look how it connects to the fuselage.
I’m not saying all planes were like this, most were though, because even the later Mustang models developed a rounded cockpit.
Above if a schematic of a Hawker Hurricane, used earlier in the war, but with the same fade away cockpit.
Oh, by the way, if you need any accurate info on airplanes, such as schematics, pics (such as above), or any of the national markings (emblems on the plane) of those that participated in the war, or any infor in general on about any plane you could think of in WWII feel free to ask me or go get a great book entitled The Illustrated Encylopedia of Military Aircraft. Well worth the money.

hey stpatsbeer, seems that you have quite a lot of interest in them
I like thier designs too, 2 good. In fact I modelled it without proper references, now that you have posted a Blueprint of similar model, I can tweak the cockpit. And yes it would be nice if I can get any more references / the above mentioned, from you.
now i am off to restructure the plane. and also i have to do that plating effect
I’m not sure how historically accurate you’re going for , such as the year or whether it’s an actual battle, or whether your just doing dogfight. because if you wanted historic accuracy I can give you planes that we around in whatever year your doing.
Other than that heres a popular German fighter, the Bf 109.
The schematics are slightly crooked, but I don’t think that should affect anything much.
hey there, thanks for the blueprints, I did not fully follow them, I moreover used it for consulting.

:o you are really into this stuff.
But i will stick to this model now, as I have given it enough time, however you can tell me the other model that i can do (for the Dogfight)
Three crits though. The tail has no rudder, which may be a problem, the canopy metal (supports I guess) I think should be a little thinner, more like the middle support, and I can’t see any flaps on the wings.
