still far from finished, but just wanted to test if the idea would work and i believe it did

and the wheatears at the signs would be put flat on the earth 
I would add a simple green (or yellow with cloudmap to bump it up) plane underneath the grass particles to emphasize the etchings. The current see through messes it up a little. Adding a plane shouldn’t be too hard. But it looks good otherwise.

Could you clear up the crop circles a little more? Make them more apparent?
