Hello, everybody.
I’d like to become good at using Blender. I realize there are lots of resources online and now in bookstores to perfect my skill with Blender, but I notice that there’s an overwhelmingly greater amount of material regarding 3D Studio Max and Maya. Am I correct in saying that it should be possible to learn the principles and applications of Blender through reading material regarding those two other programs? I’m assuming since all of them use the same concepts of 3D space that learning something in one program and how it functions would essentially be the same as using it in a different program, just perhaps as a different name or hotkey.
I would like to know whether any more experienced users of Blenders and perhaps alternative 3D suites would know whether I could learn a lot about Blender by reading through a book on 3D Studio Max or Maya and trying to find the same concept or function in Blender. Thank you all for your time and responses.
