Crown molding not following curve properly

Hello all,

I’m trying to get a molding to follow a curve but having some issues in the corners. Below is the base mesh:

This is my curve in edit mode:

I’m applying an array and a curve modifier:

But in the corners it is making these weird angles:

I have tried varies types of curves, nurbs paths, bezier curves, mesh edges converted into curves, and all end up the same. I have done a lot of searching and looking at various tutorials but more just have a single profile now a whole mesh. Just wondering what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!

Check that the resolution of the curve is set high enough:

Didn’t know about that setting, that’s helped a lot (had to turn it up to 70 for a close result). Still has the effect a little bit but way better than it was before, thanks!

So got another similar problem, thought I’d just use the same thread instead of posting another. Trying to make a braided cable and the braids/threads aren’t matching the length of the curve I’m trying to deform them to. When the cable is shorter it works fine, but the longer the cable gets the braids are getting too short. Please see below:

Looks correct:

Make the curve longer, and the braids are too short:

There’s a lot of modifiers going on to make the braids works so easier than explanining I’ll just post the blend.

Any help would be sweet!
