Hi guys! I started this project a while ago and I think It’s going ahead pretty well, but I still need criticism (and a lot of it)
from you guys. So if you can take the time to look out the little flaws and maybe some big ones, I’d be really happy.

Your background looks cloudy, but your shadows look more for a sunny day

I like this one. I would definitely increase the contrast between the bark and the eyes/mouth. I didn’t even notice the eyes initially because the bark was so dark. You might also think about going stylized. As for the expression I would say either go more cartoony (crying uncontrollably, WAAAAA!!! --kind of funny) or more real, truly sad and sobbing (with tears running naturally down the face) If the idea is that the tree is crying because it has been cut down, maybe move the camera up above to show the cut tree rings. Great start!
