Cthulhu - My First Sculpting Project

I started to model my own version of Cthulhu after watching the South Park episode :stuck_out_tongue: But I wanted to make him a bit more realistic than just attempting to apply a texture to his body, so I opened up the sculpting tool for the first time. I used the clay tool with the cloud texture to make his body bumpy and uneven kind of like a T-Rex. I just wanted to get other opinions before I continued with trying to make the rest of the body.

This being my first sculpting process, I’ve noticed that there are dark patches that look almost “pixelated,” specifically on his front tentacle. Is there a way to smooth out these square-looking shapes?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
