I went to check my email today, and found that Cubefan had singled me out for some sort of spam quizzy garbagey thing.

Your e-mail address is open to the world. That’s why I don’t have it publicly available. However, you guys do. This made you perfect bait. I did it to something like 5 guys, so if more than 5 guys reply with an “I’ve been spammed by CubeFan” reply, I’m a forgetful little bastard.
Let this be something of a lesson. If you don’t want spam, don’t give out your e-mail address. It’s not that hard, really.

Cube Fan did it occur to you that the mail portal serves a practical purpose, and was not intended for spam? The fact that they are on the portal does not lead to the conclusion that they are ignorant of its’ functionality, and perhaps your ‘lesson’ was nothing more than an unwanted annoyance.

Maybe it’s just me, but a forum isn’t a clothing store. If some clothes are there, it’s intended for buying. With a publicly available e-mail address, it doesn’t seem to be available for, you know, anything.

I’ve seen Cubefan as a constant nuisance ever since I joined these forums. On many occassions we’ve had to deal with him getting out of line.
Every attempt to ‘school’ him has been in vain. This kid is retarded, he will never learn. This seems like just too much to me.
Cubefan, you need to be banned. You need to respect others, especially others of this community. You need to start a blog, and leave everyone at elYsiun alone.

You make a weak point for a lawyer. Just because someone’s phone number is listed in the phone book, it doesn’t mean you can call them fifty times a day or night and bother them. If you do that, they might call the cops, and you’ll get charged with criminal harassment or stalking. It’s the same principle. Case closed.
Cube I saw that post last night (it was last night, for my time zone here…) but didn’t want to reply, until I got sure what was really going on…
I am really dissapointed… I mean you actually did this thing!!! That was something I never expected from you…
And what sadens me most, is the thing that allthough you get all this negative feedback from all the people here, you still don’t accept, that you did something unacceptable!!!

The e-mail is not there so that we can abuse it… It is there, so that we can have an extra channel of communication, in case there is a need…
I’ve got a couple of people, e-mailing me to ask help from me…
There are some others, who use it, because they just need to talk to someone…
If I have my e-mail there out in the open, it is because I want those people to be able to reach me… But in no case I grant anyone the right to give this e-mail away, to people I don’t know, so that they can bombard me with their stupid “offers”, at will… Nobody has the right to abuse me or others!!! And I don’t want to be forced, to change my e-mail, because someone else, decided to have fun!!!
Above all, what you say here is an insult to the community spirit… The community is based upon certain things, such as trust!!! All you managed to do right now is to destroy this trust among us!!! I wouldn’t blame the people if they would start removing their e-mail address out of public sight!!! I wouldn’t blame others if they would stop to trust each other, here!!!
I say, you really need to change your attitude… This attitude is not going to get you anywhere…
