I thought in Object Mode the block was supposed to stay where it is in edit mode to make it easier to edit and manipulate it but it just puts it in the middle - if anyone has some advice I’d appreciate it.
If I change the Deform Axis it just puts the block somewhere else (the axis it is right now is the closest I can get)
I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Both those screenshots that I sent are the current state of my blend file. If you want to see it yourself here;
I had not observed this until now. The offset between edit and object mode is affected by the position of the curve’s origin. I moved it to the end of the curve and now the offset is minimum, i am not sure what is happening under the hood. Obviously you can press on the square in the top of the modifier to display it in Edit mode if that helps. curveModifier_origin_to_end .blend (864.1 KB)
Oh wow I completely forgot about the origin of the curve. Thanks for solving my issue, just a question; do I need to use loopcuts in order to get it to fully follow the curve or is there another method that isn’t arrays
The only thing i know well about Blender is Grease Pencil 2d animation so i use the curve modifier for Lattices and just increase the X resolution. You could just subdivide (maybe also disolve some unwanted faces) the part of the object you want to follow the curve smoothly i suppose. curveModifier_subdivide_disolve.blend (876.6 KB)
