I have a letter P which i used berzier curve to model it however, i accidently closed the curve without cutting a hole in it. So not i have a solid P with no holes. How do i cut a hole in it.
On another model, I did berzier curve on 2 letters, when I want to apply colour on one of them, whenever I select one, the 2nd letter will be also selected, how to I ungroup them.
And lastly is there any way to colour part of a model?
Thanks
Well you can start with the knive tool subdivide firts and depending how big the hole will be then you can chose the correct knive selection, for the other part you can select the face mode and that way you can give a different faces colors, hope that helps!
Im sorry i may be noob but is there any tutorials on that? Like how do I go about finding and using the knife tool?
Can someone help me? I want to achieve this-(red portion cut out)

for your second question (about seperating and materials). To seperate the second letter from the first letter just select what you want seperated in edit view then hit P. Also when you go to apply a material you need to make sure you make each material a single user so you don’t change the material on one when your messing with the other (see picture below…the x will be a 2 or some other # depending on how many users it has). To paint only one part of the model you can either do UV mapping or you can just select the faces that you want painted and assign them to a material.

still can’t get it. Because my object is not mesh, i tried converting it to mesh by pressing c but nothing happened, i tried cutting buy ctrl+k but nothing happened, can someone dl the file and help me out? thanks
Select your “P” in the view in which it was created. press tab to go into edit mode. position your cursor where you want the hole. Insert a bezier circle. scale the four points that define the circle to be the outline of the hole. press tab, and magically, blender knows that the circle you just added is hollow, and the rest is filled.
Switch to Shaded view to verify your P has a hole. (that sounds kinda graphic and obscene in a way, doesnt it?)
wow thanks ur the man…now i only have to find out how to colour a part of the letter. any ideas?
