cut

Hi
those are windows on an aircraft. the inside obj and the outside obj which has only
a transparent texture over the windows. Now i need to show the inside seats ( in some configurations ) and therefore to cut out the outside transparent regions to the same as the inside obj. otherways the seats don’t show up.
HOW can I do that?
Many thanks
Michael

you could go into Edit and face mode
select the faces you wish and then H-Key to hide these faces
this will show the inside

you might want to consider putting the seats as a separate object and on a different layer, like layer 2 and have the airframe shell on layer 1. When you want to render, select both layers and render.

As far as the windows; do you want to physically cut the inside and outside meshes and make a hole in them, or just use the texture you have which has a transparent part where the window is? From your wireframe, it looks like you have or are ready to cut a hole in the mesh.

Thanks. I found another way in X-Plane. But basically I want(ed) to cut the
outer mesh to the same hole as the inside. Because the inside objs of the plane wasn’t
visible through the transparent meshes. ( But this should be visible? )
Never mind I might do it an other way round.
Cheers
