i am modelling a house and i want to cut window in the roof to “let in light”
how can i do this?
Just make a window and put it in! Look at this die tutorial and do it the same way he adds dots to dice:
For building houses and other planar object with holes it’s a good idea to model with curves.
I. e. for a wall with windows
-create a bezier circle
-in edit mode convert vertices to vector (V-key)
-resize the wall
-add onother circle(s) for the window(s)
- give it depth with Ext1 button
You can convert it to mesh for textureing
