I have been working on this model for the past few days. I had a female model I’ve made earlier, and simply selected some faces and made separated it into its own object. That’s how all the plates are made, so they are all individual objects. I assume that will be a pain in the ass when I try to rig the model, especially as I’d like as many of the metal plates as possible to be rigid (as metal tend to be).
So far the legs and torso are more or less done, at least mesh-wise. The arms, hands, and face still need work.
I posted this here in the WIP section because I don’t yet have a scene in mind for her, but I definitely welcome CC.
Since many pieces are rigid, do not skin them, just parent them to the bones, only the parts that deform need armature modifiers, like the black part of the hip joint?
Thanks for the tip. Yes, the black stuff is intended to be flexible, like rubber. I imagine I’ll run into some problems at the belly, as there’s no room for the rigid pieces to move around. Might have to rearrange a bit there.
