Cycles 3dview Rendered shading doesn't update on texture paint

I have a texture that is being used as map. When painting this mask, the 3dview on Rendered shading does not reflect the change until you save the image and unset and reset to Rendered shading.

It would appear this is a bug as:

  1. The change is reflected on Material shading.
  2. It is extremely inconvenient to not see immediate results of texture painting.

Has this bug been reported/fixed in the bug tracker?
