cycles bvh

so, I was curious as to why when using cycles it takes most of my render time to build the bvh for large scenes in blender.

Mostly, I was curious if I could speed this up at all. I am currently rendering a fly through of a static terrain, and was wondering why cycles has to rebuild the bvh every frame when none of my meshes or lighting is changing, just the camera, and it can render on the fly in the editing window…

Under camera tab, check the cache bvh. It only builds when I change the topology.

you sire, have just halved my render time. thank you
