Honestly ACES view transform would not be an “Upgrade” for Filmic, instead, consider using AgX, TCAMv2, OpenDRT etc.
For example, the “Wide Gamut” thing that ACES uses as a selling point.

It’s expected to see Filmic doesn’t work with wide gamut. But seeing ACES also doesn’t work with wide gamut should make you having some second thought about your assumption of ACES being “better”.
