Well, let’s just put it this way. Whenever I’m using cycles, and I switch the render type to gpu and hit rendered, it says as follows
|Error|Cuda device supported only with shader model 1.3 or up, found 1.2.
Any input as to what this is and how I can fix it (hopefully without buying a new gpu).
Hi, that’s because official release of Blender will only support shader model from 1.3 and above and your graphic card only supports 1.2.
I had the same problem and to solve it try to change the Feature set to Experimental instead of Supported and choose the GPU, CUDA.
If it doesn’t work get one of the latest versions from graphicall.org that supports CUDA and copy the folder scripts\addons\cycles\lib from Blender folder to the corresponding folder in the official version.
