a few more tests of material with helicopter model a bit detailed
Yes, astonishing realistic.
nikon or canon?
beautiful and perfectly realistic congrats, i want this for 2.61 splash
wow that is really stunning, do you have blend we can all have a look at you metal really comes out well.
I have a question, how did you setup the “alpha logo texture?”
could you post a picture of the node setup? it would be a big help. thanks
thanks to all of you
(as I wrote several times, it’ just cycles not me )
sounds like compliment thanks, I hope to see on splash something more creative (than realistic)
no problem (just give me some time to clean the blend file), but don’t expect too much, there is very basic material setup (cycles is just awesome for people like me)
I didn’t use alpha. There is BW Image as factor for mixing two materials.
Here is the blend file
Just few notes:
Even blender has awesome “Backfacing” option that allows you to set one material for IN and another for OUT side of face I had to use old way in this case:
bottom of tin box had ugly mirroring, so there is a new object inside
(as you can see if you disable second layer)
cup of tin box has assign two materials
(I don’t need see inside)
stickers are curves and it doesn’t work for them (for now?)
(when I tried to convert curve to a mesh, render was like transparent in edges or what)
So sorry if it’s a bit tricky for you
[email protected]thank you ! I just wanted to know how to get my letters to show up!
your tin was way more advanced than what i needed,
i just needed to add a color mix node first…
That is amazing. Need to see a wire otherwise it must be a photo.
vklidu thanks for the blend mate I will definitely be studying it
Man vklid, what an amazing render. It’s the imperfections in the texture that really sell this image!
vklidu, This is a very nice render. Great job. Could I ask you how you cut the holes and slots in the faces of those pieces? Whenever I do something like that the geometry looks so ugly. I’m wondering if there is a trick to this. Thanks.
thanks for next wave of comments
@numerical: whole parts of model are curves (apart from bolts and nuts) so it was quite easy
You can download model from first post here http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?228226
Note: It’s a quite far since I posted download link, so materials and some parts was changed.
I had a problem to download now, so let me know if you have the same problem. I will post the new one.
Would be good to post actual version anyway, don’t let confused you who are interested.
Give me a few days.
Damn, that a very nice model and the render attract me :).
Anyway, here’s a preview of a very short animation I’ve done with your marvelous model. Here’s the HD version
Again, good job for the model and renders.
what a wonderful lighting
can you post file?
