cycles material for blood?

i would like to find material for blood, but there isn’t any,
one would think it’s just a refractive material, but it isn’t, there is a kinda solid feel to it, and adding a diffuse doesn’t really help at all…

Blood is made up of clear plasma and dispersed blood cells which give it colour. To get accurate blood you need to simulate some sort of volume/depth based absorption, translucency and/or sub surface scattering.

I posted a node setup there you could use as a starting point which uses the new volumetric absorption and scattering nodes Alternatively - use the method in the link I posted to get depth based colour/absorption - then perhaps add some sub surface scattering/translucency to it.
