Cycles not rendering some geometry

Hi, i don’t know why cycles chooses not to render some things.

here is render preview from the viewport:

and here is the same, render out properly

my lights are missing and i cannot figure out why. no duplication data is turned on, layer is visible, no modifications to render passes, all ray visibility settings are left to default.

The objects were probably render restricted somehow.

Make sure those are highlighted for all of your objects.

good call. i checked, but it seems it is enabled.

maybe my setup has something to do with it. i subdivided my top mesh, used the boolean modifier to cut through it, within a small part of it. for the boolean, i used “fake” geometry - a solid cylinder with the diameter of the lights. Under ray visibility, i unchecked all options for the cylinders, and then i placed them on a separate, hidden layer.

The lights are linked duplicates of one another.
