cycles sky angular maps for the world ?

is there a set up for using world cycles some old sky or angular maps?


Yes, use environment texture and change it from equirectangular to mirrored ball

is this for world set up ?

mirror ball is for inside a UV sphere and angular map for world set up ?

and is it same idea for sky map ?

did test for sky map and don’t look very nice !

one thing here when you look at nodes set up in node editor you don’t see a mapping node
but there is one in the material panel ?
how do you acces this mapping thing for scripting ?
