Hello all, just wondering if anyone knew why everytime i try to download a .torrent file, i get an error message telling me i dont have some directory or other. this occurs when im trying to download the new video tutorials on blender3d.com.
Any help would be very happily accepted.
Did you instal a BitTorrent client?
See http://bittorrent.com/ to download the official client (though not the best, it is the simplest to use).
What’s the full error message?
With an approximate error message, we can only help… approximatly

the error message i get is… Windows cannot find ‘” C:\Documents and Settings\Graig\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\698RYDI7\subdiv[1].avi.torrent”’. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click start then Search.
the last part of that file name seems to be the name of the file im trying to download. i tied downloading the torrent client, but alas, anothert error. this time when i open the install package. it runs… C:\DOCUME~\Graig\Desktop\GO1ZIL\BITTOR~1.EXE

under it are two buttons ‘close’ and ‘ignore’ if i select ‘ignore’ the message simply pops up again. grrrrrrrr… :< :<
im sorry if this is turning into a computer rather than blender problem, but im only just computer literate, and all the experienced blender users seem veritable profs. thanks again
For the first problem, just save the file to your disk instead of trying to open it right from the webpage.
For the second problem, you could try redownloading the file again or just try another client (BitTornado for example).

Here are some other clients you can try

from the link Theeth posted. The same link says patience is a virtue and most errors will be resolved by trying again later.
