This is part of a bigger project. The goal is to create a bunch of spheres (10e4 to 10e5) which interact with the environment and with each other.
For the moment I’m dealing with about five thousand spheres in reasonable time (between a few minutes an two hours for the calculation of the blend file).
There are lots of things to improve: from the algorithm itself to the scripting. The dynamics (which also have to be improved) are calculated in a fortran program. This program generates a data file with the position of the balls. This data file is read by a python script which creates the blend file.
