Dear friends, I get some problems rendering smoke (clouds actually) - and wanted to ask if anyone knows this issue…and even better…knows how to solve it??
Quick info right away - I’m working on Blender 2.82. On MacOs.
(Unfortunately I can’t use a newer version for now, as I still got issues with them on Mac…but that’s a different story.)
I created some clouds with a smoke sim, baked it. The bake looks good, as much as I can judge it.
But when rendering every other frame some dark, random lines pop up in the smoke. In a few similar areas, but at slightly different spots. Some frames are fine, some frames have one line and others have many lines. The lines are dark, soft and of different length. I attached some example pictures below.
The issues are in the circled areas. (The lines on the left side are not easy to recognise in still frames. In the animation they’re more obvious.)
I also added my basic setups of the smoke sim.
Any help and suggestions greatly appreciated. ![]()
