Dark points

Hello everyone, how are you?
I need some help with a project.

Briefly, I’m facing several dark spots in areas that should be lit when using Cycles, whereas with EEVEE, those areas are clear. I’ve added several lights in the internal areas, but the lighting still doesn’t look good.
Any tips to help me out?

I’m working on a project where I want to “rebuild” the maps from Dark Souls 1.

Eevee

Welcome :tada:

I put this into a comparison–slide–object… for better comparison:

Simply put:

  • Eevee simply “lit everything”
  • Cycles does some “real shadow computation”

So you may need some more samples (how much are this ?) to see some more sunlight on (for example) the roof tops or use some HDRI image and no sun-object… or use both… or maybe even your dozen single light sources gives cycles some problems…

Hm, I’ll work on it, thank you friend!

There is no way to check the problem with the image.

Increase the Bounces value of Light Paths for lighting.
Alternatively, you can use HDRI.

In addition to that, there may be problems with the material.
