Modelled in Blender with some post in GIMP.
I am currently working on an entire Vader model, but my original goal was to model the helmet and chest armor. The modeling is done and the materials look pretty good for what I can do. Hope you guys like it. I can post some more renders if you want to see a different shot or angle.
Looks cool! Takes me back to my paper-route days as a kid… right after the original Star Wars came out. I took my first check ($40)… and went to buy that too-cool Darth Vader helmet at the game store! I wish I still had it…
Man that just looks atomic level cool! Chest plate especially looks well done and the proportions are looking good too. Will keep an eye on this and would love to see a full body model if you get round to it. This is really awsome.

Thanks for the comments guys. I never noticed until now how undersized the shoulder bells were. I didnt look at that picture I posted until I posted that. I need to re do that now.
