David Tennant (Doctor Who) - Wacom + GIMP practice - WIP - updated once

David Tennant as Doctor Who. UK readers may recognise the lighting/pose as reamed from the cover of the Radio Times. Basically this is just toning practice + a really good way to get some better knowledge of the way light falls across the face.

Obviously the hair and jacket are just roughed in. Since the lens on my piece is a bit shorter focal length than the cover, and the style more dramatic I’m still fiddling with shape on these.

Proportions are a tad off.

Skin looks a little dead… think I need some pinker tones in there… any thoughts?

Crits and Comments desired…

really cool

I like it a lot.

But I kind of like the old more greeny/pale color of his skin, for some reasons

the light really dosn’t look right on his neck.
and add mor edetails to the hair, well because it is not the final one you might have allready planed some of that.

otherwise it looks really good

ow and I really like the big eyes

nice likeness - I would like to see some more definition in his collar, however.

Yeah, I gotta say the hair looks very anime-ish. Also(ignore if this is meant to be a charicature) the chin is a bit too short. Just a bit.

overall, really good, hes obviously been tanning!
