Hadent posted for a while but thought I’d share if it was of interest. I was figuring out a workflow for using blender to map character creator CC3+ base meshes onto to scanned people then back into character creator, textured and rigged when I though, I wonder if that would work on statues as well
I’m sure I’m sure Michelangelo is now rolling in his grave but it’s kind of cool. David in the flesh (sort of!)
So export base mesh from CC3
Map mesh to statue in blender
Export back to CC3 and texture
Export out rigged and posed as FBX back to blender
Render in cycles
The hair is not great as it’s deliberately a mesh rather than hair particles as I was figuring that side of it out as well as workflow is for game engine eventually (although looking at the sculpt I’m pretty sure Michelangelo was using curves for the hair ;-))
