Hi! I just wanted to know if there is a way to de-select all the selected objects without having to press ‘A’. I makes me so nervous having to press that key instead of clicking anywhere on the viewport. I mean like I would do in e.g. 3dsmax, I would click on an empty area an that’d be all.

If you have anything selected A would deselect everything
or
Create a custom shortcut to deselect everything by LMB dragging in the 3d view (also change the default shortcut of LMB for positioning curser). This also box selects by LMB dragging in 3d view
