I just need some basic settings and nodes help on a very cutdown example here: Texture Morphing.blend (514 KB)
-I wish to do a 60 second animation render. I can’t get the render image
or my animation ouput file to display my model; it only puts out white.
-I want to transition my internal, single colour generated textures
as part of a morph sequence. How do debug my compositing nodes
to do this from frame 1 to frame 60?
-Is this a situation where the nodes are enough, or will have to insert
2 beginning and end keyframes (via th Animall plugin)?
you used so many words i did not understand… show a video clip of someone doing something simular to what you want and ill make a video response for you.
-I’ve included an active web link to my model, with modelling and compositing (node) view above.
Just log in and you can download the file and edit it. This is a pretty simple node and texture question.
Is it possible for someone to reply with text here, or to update and upload the update in a reply block,
please?

“render image, or animation output file” - what file? the output folder?
“to display my model” what model? in the video sequence? there is no model in the scene, and since u did not give any media files we cant set this in context
“i want to transition my internal, single colour generated textures” that made NO sence, what so ever… so you want to transition between two solid colours?
“morph sequence” you know… morphing is when you deform a model… i see no deformation going on in your scene…
-That’s it. I can’t figure out how to get at least one tick selected colour texture to render in.
-However further, I want my compositing to do a transition from the first to my last frame allowed,
in the animation timeline, do transition from one texture to the other one.
Can someone in fact debug this second ask for me and upload that .blend file with a link?
Or if not possible, at least tell me how to get my transitioning textures to appear in the 3D view, please?
Compositing is by its very definition something that happens after rendering. So, you will not be able to see compositing effects in the 3D viewport. But why does this have to be done on the compositing level at all?
A much more logical workflow (IMHO) would be to do this on the material level, by animating a color mix node…
-I’m trying to do an animation render, where one colour changes into another.
I can see how to select textures via nodes, but not two different materials by nodes.
-I’ve also got this bug situation, where I can’t find the setting that makes my materials
get rendered, even by a one scene <f12> render, at all. What setting(s) do I fix to get
my coloured textures to just plain render in?
You would get a much better feedback to your support questions if they weren’t always worded so confusingly… Do you want to “morph” colors, textures or materials? You throw these terms around so haphazardly, that it’s almost impossible to tell what you actually want to achieve any more.
Anyway, you will find an example file here:
One material which has its color “morphing” and one material with “morphing” textures. Examine them at will.
The texture images were packed into the file: File > External Data > Pack Into .Blend, then save the file.
My custom screen layouts might have been saved into the file in this case. In general: Any Node Editor window will do. The “mode” which the Node Editor is operating in (Compositing/Shading/Texture) can be changed with the buttons at the bottom. The Node Editor will only show the nodes for the respective mode.
Of course this is possible. I only used both because my textures also had an alpha channel, which I wanted to morph as well.
Not sure if I get this one. The animation in my file is driven by keyframes. Where - or rather: when - you set those is entirely up to you…?

-I’m referring to the textures transition object that has the node compositing. I can’t seem to get a start and end keyframe to start and end at the timeline frame I insert at. Can you update me here?
-You’re a genius. I need to hover the mouse cursor over the visible ‘mixing’ Node attribute and then
hit ‘i’ to insert my keyframes. That’s the ed of this thread!
-By the way, do you know anyone who can address my remaining thread?
Merry Christmas all around the world, at any rate!
