Default naming objects in 2.5

You know how you add a cube to the scene, its called ‘Cube’. If you add another,
its Cube.001, etc.

And in 2.5, it seems almost everything’s default can be manipulated via python. We’ve all seen the videos of the interface being tweaked in realtime.

I’m wondering if there’s a file ( or collection of files ) that tweaks the default names of datablocks. Python files, that is.
