Deleting Actions without closing Blender

Hi,

I tried out creating several actions for a single object today and everything worked. The only think I´m having trouble with is getting rid of superflous actions.
I unlinked the actions that I want to delete and took away the fake user with the “F” button next to the Action Browser like can be seen in the attached image but I can´t figure out how to get them out of the list without closing Blender and reloading the file.

Is it possible to do this somehow in a more convenient way?

Thank you but it doesn´t appear to work.
I´m pretty new to Blender so I might have done something wrong.

I copied the script in the thread you posted with ctrl+c.
I opened a text editor Window
Text -> New Text Block
Paste text into Text Editor
hit “Run Script” Button

The Info Window says "bpy.ops.text.run_script()

but otherwise nothing happens.

What did I do wrong?

I´m running Blender 2.7 on Windows 7.

This works in blender 2.70

It doesn´t work here.

Works perfectly for me so can’t help you further

Ah, it did work, I just didn´t look at the right place - the tool shelf - after executing the script.
