Here is my set of cutscenes for a comprehensive demo reel I’m working on. 20-60 second clips showing my work will interrupt each transition.
Nice, but no wow. The title/end screen doesn’t match the style of the clips. I would use the same white background (and perhaps end with black).
to many styles. I would unify it more.
the paper bird designs were the most interesting in my opinion.
plain camera flybys will probably result in the cd being moved
to the trash.
do not show that you can use blender. this will not help you in
case you want to make a professional demo reel. show what
you can do with it and that means story story story.
you pieces have to be about a story, elements of surprise,
what about the spider just in one sec jumps at you, wow
or the paper bird starts to fly away,
the lizards just grabs after a fly with this sticky tong or funny
he grabs something different, maybe the blender logo.
you see what i mean?
This reel wasn’t very good. And I wouldn’t blame it on the use of Blender. If you were @ndy, you could get a job anywhere even if you mentioned Blender in your reel.
I suggest you practice more before making a reel.
