Not sure if this is the best place to put this, since it’s not exclusively Blender work…
So, I made a demo reel of 2D/3D titles and visual effects - Kind of a “gathering of all my know-how” since I started doing this sort of stuff all in one spot.
I hope to use the reel to apply at a local TV station (really small outfit, school and community stuff). That said, none of this is professional quality stuff, but I’m kind of proud of a few of the projects on there. But what do you guys think?
heh, ok I watched it, it seems mostly professional to me, the color spectra for the backgrounds might be a bit “loud” imo, I really liked the compositing stuff, and the editing, it seemed very smooth to me. I don’t see anythig about it that makes it unuseable
You seem to sometimes use an over saturated pallete and you are a afraid to stray from the primary colours in regard to your work that isn’t intergrated with real imagery.
For your compositing and animation you seem to have grasped the firm basics of everything needed to make a film with cgi in it. You have shown yourself to be good all-round cgi artsman.
I’m sure in a couple of years you will have progressed to the point where you look back on this and think it is pretty poor because i believe you have alot of potential and you could definately use your skills for TV.
If TV is your ambition, i’d practice working to a tight schedual, this is probably the most important skill you can teach yourself from here.
