here’s the source file.

he’s in the “sketch” stage…
i knocked him out in about 2 hours,
between Wings and Blender.

i don’t think i’ll finnish him, so i thought
it would be fun to hand him over to anyone who might
want a lil’ demon head to play with…

cheers.

Looking Bad!

gheee, I’d like to be bored like this :o

I especially like the horns part with the link tubes, or whatever they are…

Martin

reminds me of my science teacher… :-?
awesome, I downloaded the .blend, thanks for posting it.
I adjusted the horns, made them a little longer, and got an exact picture of my science teacher…hahaha

Rock on!

I’m glad you caught that!
Your science teacher came
over last night and we chilled a bit.
Ends up your teacher’s a big fan
of the Family Guy (GOOOOOOOOOO
FAMILY GUY!!!) and I had some episodes
that I had recorded back before FOX
shafted them, so we jammed!
after 3 hours of Family Guy Mania,
your teacher started doin some crazy facial expressions so i just
had no choice but to attack a resemblence in Blender.

yeah.

ok.

how do you model? like point by point, or what? or do you just use wings to volume model and import into blender? i’m dying to know…

it really varies.
i have a nifty lil’ toolbox,
blender, lightwave, wings, metasequoia…
all of them are used to effectuate different
procedures.

BLENDER HEAD
start out with a smooth subdivided cube.
-after echieving the general shape, through a lattice or just
with the magnet tool, delete the faces composing
the area of super detail where the nose, eyes, and mouth will
be found and extrude/draw out a profile.
-the rest is just a matter of patching it all together, creating
circles where the eyes should be, then pulling and patching it together.

WINGS HEAD
-create a box, smooth it twice.
-disolve half the faces.
-virtual mirror
-SIDEVIEW, pull out a basic profile.
-tweak
-cut edges in the face area to give you
more geometry to play with.
-extrude faces/edges, pull, tweak, & tighten verts to form a good-looking dude.
-kill the vrtual mirror.
-select all faces, tesselate>quads
-VRML it into blender and clean up the nasties.

i dunno if that helps.
i thought the Demon head model would help show
how areas of the head were constructed and slapped together…

Bares an uncanny resemblence to Michael Jackson. (Well, sorta)

because he’s white?! (Micheal Jackson is still white right? I knew he used to be black, but maybe he’s asian now, who knows…)
