Denoising is not working with my hair particles On

after adding the hair particles system to my model, blender cycles refused to denoise my render, after rendering my scene in Blender 4.1 but if I delete the hair it denoises my scene

Apart from the denoising, does the rest of the render complete at all?

Denoising works on the pixels of the finished image, so it’s weird that it doesn’t want to, unless the hair makes the render run out of memory and it doesn’t even complete properly.

i can’t tell but the render stops with the whole frame rendered with noise, and no error
I set it for 10 mins but it usually takes 16 mins

  • Is this a part of a much larger scene with other objects? If yes, what happens if you deactivate those other objects and render only the model with the hair?

  • If you remove the hair and recreate it with default settings, does it accept it? Are the hair settings extremely high in quality?

If that’s not helping, I might not be able to tell the problem without seeing the scene.

so I tried all the options and found that increasing the render time and rendering samples works.
it turns out that when the hair is rendering with very small samples and render time, Blender ends up not having enough information to denoise the image properly

Makes sense. So, the denoising process was actually happening, it just wasn’t producing a good result.

exactly, turns out u need more time with a complex scene for Denoise to work, but I feel it only affects hair curves system cus I had lots of hair on the character
