Desperate Times - A game about kidnapped unicorns

Hey thanks a lot man! I hope so too, haha.
Yeah I know these monkeys, I watched that video too, really cool.

Chasing a smart enemy could be more fun than trying to kill one.
That’s a good point you have there.

Hey everyone,
here’s a video of the first enemy in my game, a spider.

Oh man, did you do those great assets all by your self. They look great!
Actually the whole game looks very professional. I really like the character style and animations. It is definitely I game that many people would like to play.
Also it seems that enemy AI works pretty well.

Looks great. I love the spiders.
One idea I had the other day was that in real life, spiders rarely venture forth from their webs.
So why not have some areas of the map be webbed and restrict spiders to those zones? The catch? There’s some cocooned corpses of adventurers with good loot in those areas.
The same could be done with other monsters, piranhas restricted to shallow water or ghosts restricted to graveyards or so on.
This can work great with procedural generation as it creates special zones which introduce a certain gameplay dynamic to parts of the level.

It looks very good :slight_smile: Need some sound FX, now :slight_smile:

@haidme
Thanks alot man, yeah I made them by myself, but I used a lot of other games as inspiration.

@Smoking_mirror
Hey thanks. Oh man you always have such good ideas haha. I would love to add your ideas, I’ll do my best.

@Wabby
Thanks, haha yeah I almost forgot about that.
