Did a sticky camera mapping, how can I fine-tune the texture?

Hi!

I did a camera mapping from a still photograph by using it as a sticky texture.

I’m quite new to advanced texturing and my question is this:

now that I have the texture attached to my model from one viewpoint, is there some way of getting that texture into Photoshop for fine-tuning? I don’t see anything in the UV editor which makes me a little confused. Is the technique (sticky projection) even related to the UV image editor? Is there a way to extract a 2d UV image out of my sticky projection that I can continue painting in Photoshop or Gimp?

Sorry about probably using wrong terms, I am a bit confused of the terminology and the process here.

You may want to look at this tutorial here:

In it, Jonathan demonstrates how to take a mapped texture and “paint” it into another UV-mapped texture. I’ve never tried this with sticky textures, but it might work…
