Did anyone know that they had a Vue 6 Inf PLE now

Disclaimer: I do not work for nor am I affiliated in any way with E-on Software or Geek at Play studios.

Hi,
Just wanted to inform everyone that at e-onsoftware.com they now have a personal Learning edition of their flagship software Vue 6 Infinite/xStream,
(Vue 7 Infinite/xStream PLE is forth coming.)

The Personal Learning Edition (PLE) is a fully functional version of Vue 6 Infinite/xStream. You can create complete projects, save your work, import, export and even render without size limit! And best of all, because it never expires, you can learn at your own pace! The only restriction is that you can’t use it for commercial purposes, only private use.

Plus you can learn Vue 6 Infinite/xStream PLE for free at geekatplay.com, they have:

  • Discovering Vue:
20 Video tuts on the UI, New to Vue? Try this series of tutorials for beginners.
  • Boosting Creativity:
the next step after learning the UI, 96 Video tuts, kind of a noob to pro. You’ll find a variety of Vue tutorials, all of them free, that show you several useful tips and tricks to push the boundaries of your creativity.
  • Epic Landscapes:
14 video tuts (280 min worth!) These tutorials range from 11 to 30 minutes, providing inspiration for creating your own worlds. We do explore the technical use of Vue a little bit, but this series is more focused on the creative use of the application. Each tutorial demonstrates a whole project, while highlighting specific tools in Vue such as materials, terrain, atmosphere, etc.
  • Area 51:
Area 51 is a section of Vue tutorials that is oriented for advanced users and/or those who have a hard time falling asleep. Some of these tutorials are in the raw: They are not transcribed or narrated by lovely female teachers, but use the exotic bad English of the mad Russian.
This is an experimental area. Creating the projects of some of these tutorials may or will crash your application by pushing it to the limits. So no claims or blames will be accepted. Only suggestions and thank you notes. We offer no warranties of any kind.
Some side effects of Area 51 tutorials may include sleeplessness, yawning, and uncontrolled drooling. 25 video tuts

Here is what I would call essential info on Vue 6 Infinite/xStream PLE:

It doesn’t support .blend Import/export but it does support other formats that Blender3D and Vue can exchange between each other.

3D Import:
3DS, 3DMF, COB, DAE, DEM, DXF, LWO, LWO2, OBJ, PZ3, PZZ, SHD, SKP, TGA, WML
Wherever applicable, object file formats are converted together with UV mapping information and texture maps.

3D Export:
3DS, C4D, COB, DXF, LWO, MOT, LWS, OBJ, SHD
Note: entire scenes can be exported as 3DS or LightWave LWS files only. Object animation information (motion, scale and orientation) can be exported as 3DS or LightWave MOT/LWS files.
Objects can be marked as not being exportable to prevent third party exports. Vue EcoSystem materials cannot be exported.

2D Import/Export:
BMP, PICT, JPG, TGA, TIFF, GIF, BUM, DEM, IFF, PCX, PNG, PSD, QTVR, RLA, RPF, HDR, OpenEXR, EPX, VIM
Vue skies can be exported as HDR sky-spheres or sky-cubes for use in other applications.

Vector data import:
PS, EPS, AI

Hope everyone finds this useful.

How long does it take to get the download link? I put in my email address on the Vue site but never got an email with a download link.

Edit: nevermind, I used a different email address and this time it came.
