I’m sure I read a tutorial ages ago about weighting bones that had a great feature…
when you use automatic weighting or bone heat or whatever, if some of the bones followed a certain name-ing convention they wouldn’t get weight maps of their own, instead their weights would be added to that of another bone…
good for blocking out a crude armature with hold bones, autoweighting then removing the hold bones to give a clean rig and a better start to weight painting than bone heat alone…
I’m sure i didn’t imagine this feature, but can’t remember the naming convention nor can I find it on the wiki…(or using google).
Am I dreaming? or does this feature exist?
