Difference between cuda-toolkit cuda-toolkit-gcc?

I was able to get a rtx 2060 for cheap. The card has not arrived yet, but I have been learning how to install nvidia drivers for it when it does.

I noticed there are two cuda-toolkit packages in ubuntu 20.04 repository. One is for cuda-toolkit-gcc which gives gcc compitible. I don’t know which tool kit I need.

I don’t need trhe toolkit do I? I’ll have to test this out when the GPU arrives, and see if it will work with drivers only. With AMD, I have to install opencl plus the display driver. I can’t find out in my searches on the net.
