Different FPS Hands

Hey Guys!!
I was thinking about how to set up Different Hands For the same gun in a FPS game…
Most tutorials out there show that you have to make the Model + Arms in the same Object… But what if I want the Gun to stay the same and change the arms (Like if there are multiple characters to control). I dont just want to change the texture but the mesh.

What would be the best way to do that?
