# Different textures of porcelain stoneware

Hi! I’m just starting to learn Blender. I want to make design of my flat and i have a little problem with it.

I want to make bathroom with different textures of porcelain stoneware. I’m tried to make it with brick texture. But i can’t make normal scale for this textures. I made “rainbow” texture to understood that. I need to use UV, isn’t it? How can i make different textures of porcelain stoneware in my bathroom?

…well… it’s a bit strange… you use a colored control image (why not greyscale in the first place ?) with three values to swittch between two different textures… or are playing with this “pattern” ??

…and then trying to “brickify” this ? Maybe you are better off with the checker pattern ??

I understand how to scale it, but now i have another problem.
I have 6-10 different textures of porcelain tiles. I need to place it on the floor and walls with equal probability of each without repeating textures near. You can see this repeating on the floor of screenshot. All 3 left slabs are the same and 3 right slabs are the same. I need to make this 6 slabs absolutely different from my texture mesh.

Oh no. I don’t need to mix all my textures to one texture. “Rainbow” texture was made by me for example to check how probability works.

I just need to place all my textures to the surface (wall and floor) randomly. I need to avoid repeating all my textures. But every time i see absolutely identical repeating textures. It’s looks so unnatural.

How you can see on these screenshot i use 4 different textures but on the surface i see only 2 of them, how i can avoid this?

As the theory of probability says for these case i need to make 1/2=0.5 probability on the first step, 1/3=0.3334 probability on the second step and 1/4=0.25 probability on the third step. But it doesn’t work like this. I also tried to use another number but it doesn’t work.

Let’s make it simple.

I have 4 colors. Red, yellow, green, blue.

I need to make 3x4 brick wall with all this colors. Each of them should repeat only 3 times. But what we see. There are 6 times blue, 4 times green and 2 times red, yellow is disappeared. I tried to fix it with changing “Threshold” value but it’s doesn’t work. Every time i get only 3 colors and 1 color falls out.

How i can add all this colors to the brick wall?
