Diffuse bounce color spill problem


I’m new to blender and have been fiddling with it for a couple of weeks now. I can’t seem to understand or find any information from the web about how to control the diffuse bounce spill in my scene. A room with white walls, white ceiling, dark wood floor and a window - the walls and ceiling will be coloured quite yellow thanks to the bounce from floor. This is not the case in real life.

I have a friend who is working in 3dsmax and he said there is a cure for it by setting no reflection bleed in GI. How can this be achived in blender?
