DirectX Exporter improvements

As part of my game project, I’ve been working on the DirectX exporter for Blender to fix a few bugs and add some new features. I’ve put my updated version on my website. If you’ve been having any problems getting the exporter to work, I’d really value it if you’d give my version a try, and if it still doesn’t work, please send me your .blend file - I’m keen to make it an exporter that will tell you WHY it’s not working rather than just failing silently, to make it as painless as possible to debug issues.


would you consider this a good replacement for the directx exporter in 2.45?

if so I can review and we can keep the exporter in blender more up to date,

If Ben Omari isn’t planning on keeping his up-to-date then I’d be very happy for this version to be swapped in. I’ve done a lot of work to make it more readable and maintainable, so I think it would be easier for other people to get involved in developing this version than the one that ships with Blender.
