I need help, I saw a lot of questions identical to mine, but no answer, so I allow myself to ask it here:
Is it possible, via an add-on or a setting in Blender, to disable the generation of material thumbnails ?
I have a scene with several PBR 8K UDIM textures in .exr files, and the software starts to freeze my computer for very long minutes while I set up the nodes for my materials, because Blender absolutely wants to generate the very small spherical miniature in 16x16 format in the “Material properties” tab.
And, honestly, I’m almost 100% sure that absolutely no Blender user needs this thumbnail to manage their materials…
