I’m sorry but I have to seriously complain about this new initiative of the developers to just force us to not use tools under certain situations…
How come we’re expected to be too dumb to notice weird deformations when using proportional editing and x-mirror at the same time?
For me, it worked most of the time roughly, unless the influence went beyond the one selected half of the mesh. And better have that than having nothing at all… Geez, wouldn’t a little note right next to the x-mirror have been enough?!
t’was all I wanted to say!
Btw. Am I really the only one who has a problem with this?
well, yeah, it is buggy, but it works like 50% of the times and that is better than never, right? wouldn’t a simple attention icon (just like the instable plugins have) fix the general confusion and allow users to just take their chance on it?
I use x-mirror with proportional edit frequently, and it never seemed buggy to me. So this change is a bit unfortunate. There are ways to get around it, but when the vertex indices cannot change, the amount of options decrease.
