I’m not up to the task myself …
but I’d really like to see this tableau after
“the Great Stroganoff Catastrophe of 2024”.
(don’t forget the Crime-Scene tape!)
Are you thinking about something like that ?
That’s a good idea, but I’ll stick to a simple still life.
Thanks, it’s just 10 and now I’m hungry.
Not exactly like that, but i appreciate your digging into my gallery
What i meant would be just out of frame clues.
Why is it messy there? maybe it was a cool party and its now very late and all friends have left.
Maybe its a poor soul who does not have his alcohol comsumption in check.
How would you be able to convey this?
Personally i always love images, where there is more to explore than just perfectly modelled and rendered assets.
love it! great job with the dirtiness
I can understand washing the bottle caps (if you collect them) but the crushed can?
Love the 2 spaghetti.
Whoever put this here isn’t going to do the dishes.
I struggled a bit with the sponge material… but here’s the framing I was talking about.
The effect of alcohol, the stress of dealing with this mess, mere accumulation of textured models without any planning… it’s up to you to interpret.
What do you think?
Without the blur effect:
Dunno. Maybe I’m admitting my age here, but I’ve made it a point not to be sh&t-faced drunk in a very long time. (It was a one-time “life-lesson mistake” that I did not repeat.)
If that’s the effect that you are going for, then I think that you need to pull-back with your camera. Because, right now, you are basically “spinning down a hole.” While this might indeed be what “a ###-faced drunk” might actually experience, I don’t think that your audience would relate to it.
I would suggest going back to one of your earlier framings, and see if you can suggest “not-quite-so ‘utter’ drunkenness” in a more subtle way. The distortion in the present image, while perhaps intended, IMHO “isn’t best.” I’m no longer seeing the “very excellent modeling.” I’m seeing, and being distracted by, the distortion.
“Yes, I admit to having been there once. But then, I sobered up.” (Sufficiently to begin to actually enjoy the stuff …)
Are you really comparing the wip screenshots to the final framing?
Just because I’ve taken care to model the various objects doesn’t mean I’m going to show them off in the final image.
The distortion effects (wide angle + blur) don’t seem that extreme to me. In any case, I don’t see it as a representation of a really advanced state of drunkenness.
I don’t think the blur in necessary… Or at least it doesn’t need to be so strong.
The wide angle alone is making me dizzy.
But it’s looking great!!
I disagree, it shows the feeling brilliantly. The feeling of having to clean up this mess and getting the spins. I would leave it as is.
Amazing work
Everyone has their own opinion/interpretation… but it makes me happy to know that someone agrees with me
I’ve spent enough time on this project so I don’t think I’ll modify it any further.
Impressive work, and the texturing is brilliant.
